Coaching has been one of David’s consistent passions over the past 20 years. His strengths lie in asking challenging questions to get to the real issue. Also, he was gifted with a strong sense of empathy. In many cases what leaders are saying and what they’re feeling may be different, which is where David's skills prove to be very valuable. David’s ability to surface these emotions and then confront the facts has helped his many clients to improve their decision-making and overall performance.

As a group Chair for Vistage, David had to manage successful CEOs with strong egos. David is effective with both small and large groups as a facilitator. He works quickly to access a group while gaining their confidence. He comes from a neutral position to achieve maximum openness and productivity. He makes sure to know and understand the groups' dynamic and brings each individual member into the discussion.

David has spent a large number of hours as a mentee and as a mentor. As a mentor, the goal is to help guide the mentee toward growth and development and when needed, David uses his years of experience in business to identify and surface the mentee’s challenges. Helping younger leaders grow and avoid the pitfalls that are so prevalent in business and life today makes mentoring a high priority for David. His broad business background enables insights that are significant to mentees. Because of his family business background he has been asked to mentor a number of 2nd & 3rd generation young leaders.
